Introduction of Japan Aviation Academy

Japan Aviation Academy was founded in 1932 and today is the largest and oldest school specializing in the training of aviation personnel.We have a total of five campuses : Yamanashi, Chitose, Shiraoi, Noto,and Tokyo. We operate three institutions: a high school, a correspondence education program,and a technical college. All of our schools lay their emphasis on fostering talented knowledgeable graduates who are ready to play an active role in the professional world. We have granduated 30,000 alumni under this concept,and most play an active role in the aviation industry and other professional careers.

1. Japan Aviation Academy High School
JAA High School has two campuses The Yamanashi campus is large and includes an 850 meter long private runway.The Noto campus in Ishikawa is located on the grounds of the Noto airport.JAA High School offers six courses to choose from that are paired with our general education curriculum. Students are also provided with career and academic counseling to guide them down the right path based on their interests. Our graduates go on to jobs in the aviation industry,high level universities and other professional careers.

2. Japan Aviation Academy Correspondence Courses
Japan Aviation Academy High shool offers correspondence education through the innternet. This flexible course gives students the chance to graduate from high school while working around their other commitments or to work at their own pace and not attend school. Special English Course. In the Special English Course students spend a year studying in the U.K. Beauty Course. Students can choose a course that prepares them for getting the specific beautician license which they will need for their chosen area of specialization.

3. Japan Aviation Technical College
Our technical college trains the aviation personnal that airlines need: ground handling staff,mechanics,cabin attendants,airport staff,and pilots. The Chitose campus is approved by the Minister of Land,Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as an aviation personnal training facility.students train for getting qualified as a mechanic using real aircraft including a B-767 and a YS-11. Our relationship with JAL and ANA gives students the ability to perform internships within the airlines, giving them a foot in the door when it becomes time to get a job.

Our School has been accepting international students form China, Thailand, Mongolia, Brazil, Tonga, and Russia since 1990. They live,train, and study alongside the Japanese students giving them and the Japanese students available international experience while sharing cultures, customs, and friendships. Most of the students attending JAA live in the on-campus dormitories. The cafeterias offer a wide ranging nenu with dishes from the West, China, and Japan. The students baths are made of lava rocks from Mount Fuji which emit infrared rays and create a hot spring atmosphere.Daily supplies can be purchased on campus at convenience stores. JAA offers an educational system that emphasizes each students strengths and personality to maximize potential for their future.
